Adam M. Horwitz is a Philadelphia family law attorney who has quickly gained a reputation for being insightful, courteous, and who always looks out for the best interests of his clients. His specific areas of practice include helping families with the often emotional issues of child support, visitation rights, and child custody as they go through the many steps of separation and divorce. His expertise in family law and domestic relations helps to guide clients to the best possible outcomes, but it is his belief in working closely with clients, listening carefully in order to get a deeper understanding of their situation, needs and goals that makes a real difference in their lives.
Adam works hard to make sure that his clients always feel comfortable and are able to speak openly to him, even about highly sensitive topics. He takes the time to explain every aspect of each step in the legal process in terms that are easy to understand, providing them with a sense of control that is frequently lacking in family law matters. He is guided by his strongly held belief in the value of integrity and honesty, and those qualities are appreciated by his clients, his colleagues and his peers.
Adam’s diligence has been rewarded with a number of coveted honors and awards, including having been named one of Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars in 2013. He is a recipient of the Barrister Achievement Award for Outstanding Trial Advocacy, the Chancellors Award by the Philadelphia Bar Association, as well as the Eric D. Turner Matrimonial Award. He was also named to the Pro Bono Roll of Honor by the First Judicial District of Philadelphia.
Adam is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, Family Law Section, as well as the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts degree and earned a Masters Degree in Education from Lewis and Clark University before graduation with his Juris Doctor from Temple University School of Law.
